The Medic's resource is Power Cores. Power Cores start at full and are consumed by powerful attacks and heals. The Medic can use their basic attack or heal to generate Power Cores in combat. When you leave combat, your cores will quickly restore to full.

Is the Medic a ranged or melee class??
The Medic is a close to mid-range class. In general, Medic abilities are shorter range than the Esper's or Spellslinger's.
Do the Medic's abilities require him/her to be standing still?
All of the Medic's abilities can be cast while moving. Additionally several of the Medic's abilities create fields requiring the Medic to strategically use their abilities so that enemies and allies are standing inside their fields.
Can a Medic Heal and DPS at the same time?
With clever character customization and ability choice, you can make a Medic that does DPS and heal effectively at the same time.
How do Medic fields work?
The medic has access to several field abilities that affect enemies or allies as long as they stand in them. Some fields entail aiming by using the mouse while others are generated while you're stationary, making superior position of critical importance.
How do probes work?
The Medic has several types of probes. Most probes are attached directly to allies and enemies for persistent over times effects. Some probes can be re-activated to detonate them, consuming the probes for powerful instant effects.
What resource does the class expend on abilities?
The Medic's class resource is called Power Cores. You start at full power cores and several medic abilities will consume cores for bonus power. Unlike the Esper, the Medic does not consume all of their Power Cores with their consumer abilities.
