Hey WildStar fans!
I haven't had a chance to introduce myself yet, so I'm going to hijack the first part of this post to do just that. My name's David "Scooter" Bass, and last week I joined the WildStar team as the Senior Community Manager. I'm thrilled to be joining this amazing Community team, and as I work to catch up on everything WildStar, I'm hoping you'll join me for the ride. This week, I wanted to showcase some recent articles from our friends around the 'net that you may have missed:
Last week, a few of our European fan sites had the chance to talk to Executive Producer Jeremy Gaffney about the state of the game. MMO-Game.eu posted their coverage of the interview earlier today, and there's tons of info there. Check it out here!
Next up, the guys at This Week in MMO celebrate their 100th episode, which features their thoughts on Jeremy Gaffney's recent AMA. The conversation turns to WildStar around 37:36, though I recommend you listen to the whole episode to hear what's been happening in the rest of the MMO space.
Lastly, Massively featured WildStar in two articles this past week. The first, MMO Jukebox, features two pieces originally created by our Lead Composer Jeff Kurtenacker, from Pirates of the Burning Sea and WildStar.
The second article from Massively is a great Q&A with Fearless Leader Jeremy Gaffney! In it, he discusses his thoughts on mobile combat as well as the Holy Trinity (which is coincidentally what this week's WildStar Uplink was about, but more on that later this week). Check it out here.
That's all for this week's news roundup! Make sure you're following @Team_WildStar on Twitter, because every Monday we'll be discussing interesting conversations about MMO design and philosophy in our WildStar Uplink. And feel free to hit me up anytime with your feedback: @CRB_Scooter. See you all next week!
